Keystone Field House Ground Breaking

We enjoy being part of the local communities! Keystone Field House Groundbreaking Ceremony Keystone Schools recently celebrated the beginning of the construction of the new field house at a groundbreaking ceremony. Attendees included board members, staff, coaches, students, parents, community members and the generous donors who funded the project. The construction of the field house is the result of a three year collaborative donation effort between school support organizations, including Band Boosters, Keystone Youth Football, Keystone Athletic Boosters, and KATS, along with community businesses, donations, alumni and residents. The field house will be located at the District’s stadium on Opportunity Way. The 2,500 square foot structure will feature restrooms, a locker room, concession stand and a ticket booth. The construction is slated to be completed three to four months after construction begins. The field house will benefit Keystone and its community in a variety of ways.Keystone previously had to turn down opportunities to have the stadium rented by an area semipro football team, all-star games, and soccer events due to the lack of restroom facilities. With its construction, the field house will allow Keystone to host events at the stadium which will generate revenue for the District. Keystone will also save money by not having to rent portable restrooms. In addition, the field house’s construction will also benefit the community. Dale Yost Construction, the builders in charge of the project, stated that roughly 80% of the project’s contractors will be from the community. The success of Keystone Local Schools is the direct result of the community’s support. Keystone looks forward to continued collaboration between the school, community, and LaGrange taxpayers.
